Tideborne Tactics

Tideborne Tactics is a slower, thinky strategy game built around the rise and fall of the sea. Half your map is only reachable at low tide, so every plan has a clock on it. Build your harbours wrong and you'll be stranded when the water comes back.

It respects your intelligence. There's a tutorial, but after that the game trusts you to fail and learn. The AI opponents play differently enough that a strategy that crushed one will get you flattened by another. Skirmishes save cleanly and never ask for the internet.

This is a game for people who like to sit and stare at a map for a minute before moving. If that's you, it's excellent.
